
On April 8, 2006,
MCBA Treasurer Philip Privitera presented
Middlesex County District Attorney Candidate,
and fellow MCBA member, Gerry Leone with the IL
Migliore Award from the Pirandello Lyceum at its
annual banquet. The Pirandello Lyceum is an
Italian American Organization formed to
celebrate and appreciate Italian Language and
Culture, as well as the achievements of Italian
Americans. Privitera currently serves as the
First Vice President for the Pirandello. IL
Migliore means "the Best" and the award is
presented to celebrate and recognize outstanding
achievements in both Mind and in Deed. Leone's
accomplishments as a state and federal
prosecutor include convictions against Louise
Woodward ('Nanny case') and Richard Reid (Al
Qaeda Shoe Bomber). In addition to Privitera,
other MCBA officers active in Pirandello Lyceum
and in attendance at the award ceremony were
President Dom Paratore and Vice President Frank
Ciano. |
